My last few days in Rome were bittersweet. For my final exam of my Italian Communications class, Sean took us to the Vatican Radio Station, to create a short segment about our work experience and then to the Vatican Television Station, where we were each able to talk about our study abroad experiences. It was incredible to be able to go into many places that only a select few have been to and to have such a lively and entertaining professor as Sean. For the final exam of my Sustainable Foods class, Sergio took us to a spice shop to learn about and smell a bunch of different spices. The man who runs the shop goes all around the world to collect his spices and he even makes his own creations of spices. After visiting the spice shop, Sergio and Fiore surprised us with a picnic dinner of delicious Italian delicacies out on his rooftop terrace. It was the perfect way to end a wonderful class. I will miss my professors and I will especially miss all of my classmates. During my last days in Rome, I also tried to get in as many morning cappuccinos and cornettos as I could because I would ESPECIALLY be missing those. I went around to many of the popular tourist sites (Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Spanish Steps, Piazza Navona, etc.) one last time with my friends so I can keep in my mind a vivid picture of this unforgettable experience that I have had in Rome and in Europe.
