Hi everyone!

Sorry for my lack of posts in the past few weeks. I have been really busy with school, being sick, and travelling, so I haven’t been as diligent with keeping my blog updated. So here are a few updates on life in Valpo and sneak peaks at my next few posts.

  1. TERREMOTO: I experienced my first earthquake in Chile today and it was terrifying for me, but everything ended fine. I was just mentally freaked out by it. At its origin the earthquake was a 7.1 and where I was it was a 6.9. Right now when I’m writing this we’re still experiencing aftershocks.
  2. CLASSES: My classes have definitely picked up in intensity, which is partially why I haven’t been writing on here as often. I feel like I am starting to have more days where Spanish is coming naturally and I don’t have to work as hard to understand everything. The downside of this has been my English grammar is terrible, so I am sorry for these posts.
  3. PATAGONIA:  I travelled to Patagonia to hike with a group group of people also in CIEE earlier in April. I’ve been working on my video and blog about the trip. Both will be up by the end of this week!
  4. CHILOE: This past weekend I travelled to the largest island in South America, Isla Grande de Chiloé. I will also have a post of that and probably a video too.

Like I said, I’ve been sick and I’m now having problems remembering English words and grammar so thank you for bearing with me and reading my posts! Until the next post (I promise will be soon), Ciao de Chile.
