Monday: We had our first day of classes today. The program is set up so we have a two-week intensive language class and then I start the rest of my classes at the beginning of July. I go to class all morning, have a break for lunch, and then I have an afternoon activity. I went to Rome last weekend and basically saw everything I could! (Except the inside of the St. Peter’s Basilica because of lines…I feel like a horrible person but oh well.) It was such an awesome weekend. We left Friday at 6:40 am and came home Sunday at 9:30 pm so we spent quite a bit of time there. I walked 13 or 14 kilometers today… Needless to say, I probably won’t be able to move tomorrow. We left our apartment around 8:30 to meet up with people from class. The ACCENT center is near the Pantheon, so we went there first. It was amazing. So beautiful, and massive. It is amazing to me that Italians are still using these buildings that were built so long ago. The Pantheon is an actual Christian church that has services.
