London Adventures – March 21st

Hello everyone! I hope you all are doing well. First off, I just wanted to apologize for being so irregular with these posts. In the beginning I was doing pretty well with getting them out there on Sundays for you all to read, but lately I’ve just been pretty busy, (or the days are getting shorter) and I just completely lose track of what day of the week it is. Today I am thankful for classes that get cancelled. My one class that I have on Thursdays got cancelled for […]

Mind The Gap

“TRAVEL CHANGES YOU. AS YOU MOVE THROUGH THIS LIFE AND THIS WORLD YOU CHANGE THINGS SLIGHTLY, YOU LEAVE MARKS BEHIND, HOWEVER SMALL. AND IN RETURN, LIFE- AND TRAVEL – LEAVES MARKS ON YOU.” – Anthony Bourdain I have been in London for 3 weeks exactly but feel as if I have only just arrived.  I wake up every morning in disbelief that I am in a city so beautiful as London. Cheers from London!

CHEERS TO A BLOODY FANTASTIC SEMESTER ABROAD! As some of you may know, I am currently studying and interning abroad in London for Spring 2017 semester and then backpacking around Europe for 5 weeks afterwards (Jan. 10th- May 26th). We have been here for about 2.5 days and jetlag is still not our friend. Nights have been restless and afternoons have been exhausting but completely worth […]

America needs to get its shit together.”   It’s like a giant, self-conscious apology no one asked them to give on behalf of the United States.   I understand this habit, kind of. American politics can get circus-y, the U.S. certainly suffers from an obesity epidemic, and so on. But the facts rarely seem to be the speaker’s […]

A Reminder To Have Fun

Yesterday, my friend Max and I snuck out of our flat shortly after breakfast for a day of urban on-foot exploration. We walked to a theater and scored rush tickets, strolled along the Thames beneath the great, spindly Eye, and across Westminster bridge.   Well, ALMOST across Westminster Bridge.   Our path there was interrupted by a middle-aged, white-bearded, bear of a man who asked us if we “had a sec?”   As a policy, I never “have a sec” for middle-aged men on city streets. But this one spoke […]
